1. Acceptance of these terms

By using the Souq Mazad website or app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the service after an update is published means you accept the updated version.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or post a listing.

Registration requires a valid Egyptian mobile number, verified by SMS. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity under your account.

• Do not create multiple accounts to evade limits or a suspension.
• Do not share your login credentials with anyone.
• Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorised use of your account.

3. Listings and content

You are solely responsible for the listings you post — the description, photos, price and condition. Information must be accurate and not misleading, and you must have the right to sell what you offer.

You keep ownership of the content you upload. You grant Souq Mazad a non-exclusive licence to display that content within the service and in promoting it.

Listings may be reviewed before publication. We may re-categorise, reject or remove a listing that breaches these terms.

4. Prohibited items and conduct

You may not offer or seek any of the following:

• Anything prohibited under Egyptian law.
• Weapons, ammunition, narcotics and hazardous materials.
• Counterfeit or stolen goods, or anything you do not have the right to sell.
• Prescription medicines and unlicensed medical products.
• Pornographic, abusive, or hateful content, or content inciting violence.
• Human organs, endangered species, and other goods barred from trade.
• Fraudulent schemes, pyramid selling, or deceptive advertising.

You also may not impersonate others, harvest user data, send unsolicited marketing, or attempt to breach or disrupt the service.

5. Transactions between users

Souq Mazad is a listings platform only. We are not a party to any sale between users. We do not own, inspect, or guarantee the items advertised.

The platform does not hold money on behalf of a buyer or a seller, and does not provide escrow, payment processing, or any payment guarantee. Price, payment method and delivery are agreed directly between you and the other party.

We recommend inspecting an item before paying, meeting in a safe public place, and treating any request for an advance transfer with caution.

6. Paid services

We offer optional paid services such as merchant packages, featured listings and sponsored placements. The details and price of each are shown before purchase.

A paid service begins as soon as it is activated and runs for its stated duration. Fees are not refundable once the placement has started, unless we fail to deliver the service for reasons on our side.

Removing a listing for breaching these terms does not entitle you to a refund of fees paid on it.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or harms other users or the service, giving you notice where we reasonably can.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app or by contacting us. See the data deletion page for details.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". We do not warrant the accuracy of user-posted listings, the quality of any item, or the conduct of any user.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from dealings between users or from interruption of the service.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Egyptian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
